We have teamed up with Coach Brian Pace to present three cycling training plans; one for beginners, one for riders looking to improve their endurance for longer rides, and one for racers looking for that competitive edge.
No matter who you are these training plans will give you the structure, motivation, and know-how to get fitter, healthier, and stronger on the bike.
The training sessions incorporate intervals based upon maximum heart rate, or functional threshold power – so you can train using a heart rate monitor or power meter. If you do not have access to either, you can still take part using perceived exertion.
Ironman is a complex sport of swimming, biking and running. To truly reach your potential, you must combine these disciplines with vital strength & flexibility training and solid nutritional science… along with strategic training periodization and proven race tactics.
TFC will work to pair you with the proper coaches to develop a customized program for your needs through discussion, analysis and workouts.
Training for a bike race is hard. Training for a marathon or a 400-meter swim is hard. But training to do all three, back-to-back? That is downright intimidating—discouragingly so, one might argue. But taking on a triathlon is also ridiculously fulfilling and pushes your athletic abilities in ways no other race or competition can. So, do not run the other way just yet. Whether you are worried about peeing in the lake (do not worry, it is cool) or falling off your bike during the transition (practice helps a lot), Team Flow will help you with the dauntingness and get you ready for race day.
If you look at the entire team, you will probably notice we are a team that hits both ends of the experience spectrum. On one hand we have older riders who have countless riding seasons in their legs and the wisdom that comes with those. On the other end, though, we have some exciting new riders making their TFC debuts. We want to have fun and it feels fun because it is almost a trip back to this team’s early days with new riders learning the ropes. That is perfect for us and our way of riding, racing, and teaching.
We help fuel a community of athletes who live to chase adventure all day and sometimes well into the night (seriously, they never stop). More importantly, they are just nice people. We like them a lot and I know you will too!
